Basic SNG Operations is an introduction to satellites and their use in newsgathering. Successful students will be sent a Record of Competency in Basic SNG Operations. Operators will also need to take Practical SNG Operations, a three-day practical course taken at one of eight training centers around the world. ' After completing this second stage, students will be awarded a Certificate in SNG Operations. This demonstrates to any satellite operator or employer that the certificate holder has been trained and examined to an industry standard.
